An interview with Dave Snowden

An interview with Dave Snowden - a combined event for Lean Product Delivery (https://www.meetup.com/Lean-Product-Delivery/events/271201122/), Lean UC London(https://www.meetup.com/Lean-UX-London/events/271201086/), and LeSS Meetup Baku(https://www.meetup.com/LeSS-Meetup-Baku/events/271201147/) at 11 am to 1 pm UK time on Monday 16th June 2020 #cynefin #complexity #agility

John Coleman has been intrigued by Dave's work on Cynefin since 2015, when Nader Talai introduced John to Cynefin. John is discovering more of its depth every year. This year, in the St David's Day series at https://cognitive-edge.com/blog/cynefin-st-davids-day-2020-1-of-n/, Dave suggested some changes to the Cynefin Sense-making framework. John was intrigued. John did a recording recently on Cynefin for executives as part of a Scrum.org blog post at https://www.scrum.org/resources/blog/executives-are-you-thinking-kicking-can-down-road-true-agility-think-again.

In this interview, John will ask about the science behind Cynefin, why Dave is critical of systems thinking, spiral dynamics, and Myers-Briggs. SAFe might come up in conversation but maybe covid-19 is more topical right now. John is curious about the suggested changes to Cynefin, how official they are, and how Cynefin can be useful in practice. John is also curious if emergent / exaptive practice needs to be on a rhythm (like sprints).

Come to listen to how useful Cynefin can be and how it explains a few things, and dare we say makes sense of things. Be ready with your questions, or get them in early by emailing john@ace.works. Most people will view or comment from their preferred channel, .e.g, Facebook, Youtube, Pericope. There are also opportunities for asking questions live on camera, for those people who choose to join on camera separately. Whatsapp John on +44 7908 539 437 to get a link to join on camera.
