Case Study - LeSS at SolarWinds Core IT
A case study of Scrum and later LeSS transformation in SolarWinds will be presented.
SolarWinds is a fast growing software company developing IT management tools. Its engineering department has decided to adopt Scrum in 2014. The first wave consistently applied agile principles at the level of individual teams and small products. However, it became immediately visible that scaling them to bigger product teams is a real challenge.
Three years later and one hundred blind alleys wiser we can share what we have learned. In particular, this case study will talk about building the first LeSS-like structure in a complex enviroment of multiple product teams, shared platform, functional departments and constant business pressure.
