I am currently working in Shell’s Downstream IT Function as a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist supporting our Fuels Retail business globally. Prior to joining IT, I was seconded into Shell's Finance Operations Business as a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist supporting the Downstream Trading and Supply Business. I also run internal Shell Continuous Improvement training and coaching of staff on lean six sigma principles and am a certified AIM (Accelerated Implementation Methodology) trainer for Change Management.

Prior to this I spent 13 years working for Royal Dutch Shell in various countries mainly in Well Engineering roles. I began my career with an initial drilling rig based position which culminated in a position as Drilling Supervisor and an office based position designing and operating wells in the Netherlands and UK. This was followed by one year in the Technical Centre in Bangalore supporting well design activities globally. After India I spent six years working for Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) in a variety of roles including, Wells Strategic Contract Holder, Wells Performance Improvement Consultant, Operations Well Engineer and finally as Business Lean Consultant and Road Safety Engineer.

During my degree I was sponsored by Mivan Ltd a Northern Ireland based Global Construction and Consulting Firm with whom I got practical experience in project management, the most high profile of which was the fit out of the Trafford Centre in Manchester, UK. I also took a year out placement with PSA Peugeot Citroen to improve my technical engineering skills culminating on working on the Peugeot Sport Rally gearbox design and production.
