How company and regional culture prevents Agile adoption
You have probably heard stereotypical statements such as: “agile cannot work here because our <company or region> is too hierarchical.”. The reality is more complex and interesting.
In this talk you will hear, through stories, much deeper analysis of these cultural aspects in several Asian countries/regions and few in other parts of world. How they influence ability to embrace e.g. real collaboration and self-management. Why seemingly very hierarchical culture can dramatically change into an agile one; and how seemingly flat structure company in reality unlikely will ever embrace collaboration and self-management.
Maybe the most tricky and sensitive part of the talk is how history and society influences ability to establish real change.
