Juan Banda is a trainer, speaker and organizational change consultant. Since Juan got exposed to Scrum in early 2007, he committed himself to continue learning and applying Scrum in the teams and organizations where he worked. His path put him in the roles of Scrum Master, Developer and Product Owner. Juan now holds all of the requirements of the Scrum Alliance and is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) in addition to a LeSS Friendly Scrum Trainer. Juan is the first Spanish speaker Path to CSP Educator that teaches the: CSM, CSPO, A-CSM, CSP-SM, A-CSPO, CSP-PO and Certified LeSS Basics courses.

As a CST Juan has already trained more than six thousand students that attended his courses in ten countries across the Americas. Juan has delivered onsite training courses for companies such us: Abastible, L'Oreal, Citi, Globant, Pandero, CEPM, STP, Carrier, CMI, Tekprovider, Banreservas, Unilever, Cisco, Sofia Ltda., Citibanamex, Marsh, Slalom, Deloitte, Walmart, CGI, SAIC, Express Scripts, T.Rowe Price, Time Warner Cable, ViaSat, Garmin, Moffitt, Kyva Systems, Blue Book Network, Insurance Auto Auctions and BlueCross BlueShield. Since 2020 Juan has successfully delivered over two hundred online courses.

After earning his Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Illinois at Chicago, Juan worked as a full time professor, consultant, developer and manager. During his tenure with the University, he led teams of more than fifty developers and also served as the Head of the Engineering Department.
