The first online game I worked on spent 18 months in production, came in on-time and on-budget, and was live for two months before closing down. It was also the second BigWorld-powered game to go live in the western world, by less than 6 months. All told, I've spent more than 90% of the last twelve years with my head up the cloaca of the BigWorld code-base.
Outside that, I studied Computer Science, Linguistics, Japanese and Vietnamese at university, I've sold computers and computer-related accessories, run an Internet Service Provider or three, written software for telecommunications and law-enforcement agencies and followed a girl to Viet Nam, living there for two years before following her onwards to Sydney.
I don't know everything, but I'm working on it.
