I continue to stay humble in leading, training, and coaching organisations by adopting an empirical approach for complex work.

I continue to stay humble in leading, training, and coaching organisations by adopting an empirical approach for complex work. I try to give something back by providing my thoughts and experiences on my blog (jackreed.es). I am interested in the people side of change and passionate about helping teams and organisations find better ways of working (from a mindset perspective and in the practical sense of the word).

Working at the team level, I focus on coaching teams on self-management, whereby leadership is treated more as an attitude. And I encourage teams I work with to strive for continuous improvement by running small, high-value experiments (even when things are going well).

Supporting Product Owners with their accountability to identify maximum product value by enhancing the visualisation of work, technical debt and progress through transparency.

Initially focusing was on promoting the adoption and optimisation of Scrum within individual teams, aiming to enhance flexibility, creativity, and productivity. However, as my understanding of the larger system dynamics has deepened, I realised the vital role that leadership plays in an organisation.

From an organisational perspective, I partner with with leadership on strategic initiatives from an organisational perspective and promote the wider use of an agile approach. Beyond merely adopting Scrum, using systems thinking and modeling to better understand alignment of ways of working with the business and system goals.

I can support sustainable, systemic improvement by strengthening the practices and structures that underpin any strategic vision by collaborating with leadership and management and recognising the crucial roles they play in an organisation.
