Aki is an experienced Agile Coach specializing in Scrum and LeSS adoptions, particularly in start-up environments. Before joining Odd-e, he served as Head of Development at Brain Lab, a Japanese start-up where he led his first Scrum adoption in 2008. Since joining Odd-e in 2012, he has worked as a coach with organizations across a wide range of industries, including education, investment banking, retail banking, robotics, agriculture, advertising, gaming, engine systems, pharmaceuticals, online testing platforms, translation tools, and digital platforms. Many of these engagements involved organizational redesign and large-scale Agile transformations, which he actively led. Since 2012, he has supported more than a dozen LeSS adoptions, along with many Scrum adoptions.

Aki is also an active contributor to the Scrum and LeSS communities. He has helped establish and support communities in both Japan and the Netherlands, including Suku-Suku Scrum, Scrum Master’s Night, Scrum Lab, and LeSS Netherlands. In addition, he has spoken at conferences and meetups, and contributed to the Agile community through Japanese translations of two books: The Third LeSS Book and Training from the Back of the Room!.

He moved from Japan to the Netherlands in 2021 and has since been supporting both European and Japanese organizations.
