Overview
The Certified Large-scale Product Developer (CLPD) course is designed to equip software development practitioners with future-oriented knowledge, skills, and practices necessary to thrive in large-scale product development environments, such as LeSS. Through collaboration with human and AI agents, CLPDs focus on creating the highest user value and enabling organizations to adapt to changes at a minimum cost.
Key Learning Objectives
- Romantic Dreaming: Develop a deep understanding of the whole product domain by empathizing with users’ pains and needs. Use this understanding to create software products that act as momentum savers, driving future business value.
- Critical Thinking: Analyze and reason through disciplined processes like Test-Driven Development. Challenge assumptions and cultivate the ability to make sound judgments, including when critiquing conclusions from AI agents.
- Focused, Integrative Doing: Deliver user value with the highest quality by cross-functional, self-facilitated coordination through continuous seeking of feedback through integration of small, meaningful work.
- Fluid Ownership: Preserve knowledge gained during product development through complete automated test coverage, self-explaining code, and standardized practices. This maximizes organizational adaptiveness.
Course Requirement and Certification Conditions
Participants must complete a five-day, immersive training course combining theoretical insights and hands-on exercises. Attendees should have a strong foundation in software development and prior experience working in large development organizations.
