I am driven by the identification and analysis of organizational problems, working on the development of solutions that contribute to building leaner, more productive, agile teams that are aware of their own capabilities. 

Currently, I serve as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), Brazil. Since the beginning of my academic career, I have been engaged in projects that foster collaboration between academia and industry, aiming to prepare students to address real-world problems by connecting them with practical market demands and strengthening both their analytical and applied skills.

I completed my postdoctoral research at the Lero – The Irish Software Research Centre, affiliated with the University of Limerick. I hold a PhD in Computer Science (2015) from the Informatics Center at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (CIn-UFPE), with a focus on Software Project Management. I also earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science (2010) from the same institution and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Católica de Pernambuco.

I have 19 years of experience in the software field, with 18 years dedicated to agile methods, including practices related to project management and process improvement.
