I am an Enterprise Agile Transformation Coach with 17 years of transformation experience. I hold many Agile certifications, but more importantly I have practical experience in leading enterprise scaled Agile transformations (SAFe), Agile process creation for startup companies (Lean Startup), program-level coaching, team Scrum/Kanban coaching, individual mentoring, and developing/delivering Agile training.
My background is in software development and leading technology teams. I am also the holder of 10 patents issued by the US Patent Office dealing in areas such as artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, intelligence engines, and predictive systems.
My Agile Coaching style is to first listen and learn, then build relationships based on mutual respect and trust. I believe that Agile methods are “frameworks”, and as such, can be adjusted as needed to fit the practical reality of the teams’ current situation. That said, I believe there are fundamental tenets of Agile that every team should be willing to embrace (in their own way), such as iterative development resulting in a small product increment, ruthless prioritization, serial development, and formation of cross-functional teams.
I am currently part of the awesome Agile Velocity coaching team at Southwest Airlines in Dallas, introducing Lean-Agile SAFe concepts and launching agile release trains in a full-scale SAFe implementation transformation.
